I found this recipe a few years ago when I was suffering with colds and coughs during the winter period; not realising then that it is a perfect warming anti-inflammatory drink.

Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Milk

An antioxidant, anti-inflammatory turmeric hot milk recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Small Saucepan
  • 1 Electric or Gas Hob

Ingredients
  

  • 200 ml Unsweetened Oat / Coconut / Almond Milk
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Grated Fresh Ginger
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Combine the milk, water, ginger, maple syrup, coconut oil, turmeric, cinnamon and black pepper in a small saucepan.
  • Whisk lightly over a medium heat until boiling (5 minutes)
  • Remove the pan from the heat. Strain out the fresh ginger and drink immediately,
